Happy Haloween....NOMT - the next phase

I see that we continue to have people being added to the list of attendees...that's awesome. So for now, if you'd like to show your solidarity for the OWS movement, continue to pitch your tent on Saturday. Better yet, I might suggest finding a good 8x10 plastic tarp, a couple of poles, 20 feet of rope, dozen or so tent stakes and fashion yourself a makeshift tent and just leave it in your front yard, along with a couple of signs. My guess is, you may even have all this stuff sitting around in the corner of the garage. Worse case scenario you might have to spend 10 to 20 bucks at the local dollar store.

With my less that artistic ability, I've drawn a picture

To me, and I'm sure many others, tents seem to be a symbolic representation of the Occupy Wall Street movement....Comments anyone?

Growing...A Million Tenters in Sight

T minus 3 and counting. Yesterday I spent an hour posting on Facebook Occupy Sites around the world about the Night of a Million Tents and it looks like word got out as the numbers continue to climb, but with only 266 attendees, but it seems that I've missed the other 0.999999962 of the population :)..at this rate it will take 72 years to reach 1,000,000 but I'm still holding out. For those that are reading this - please send this link to as many people as you can and we can still make a great showing. - https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=282729428423959

Good morning...a new day, a new total. Though I'm far from a million committed attendees, like 999,790 short, it's still great to see each new person sign on. It was my hopes that facebook would be enough to spread the word, seeing that there are 600,000,000 users. I still continue to post in various places, still looking for that one big break...maybe today :) Funny thing is, I'm not sure anyone ever reads this, If so..maybe just click like button. Oh, and if anyone (or any two), can erect a tent, place a protest sign by it, snap a picture and post that would be great.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get the word out about Night of a Million Tents, I'm all ears.
This has been a great education for me. Please post your comments here..

Great brainstorming session last night

Last night 4 of us met online using facebook group chat and traded ideas. One of the revelations for me was how twitter could be used to get the word out about the "Night of a Million Tents". Now all I have to do is figure this all out in the next day or so.
As far as how the effort is going, we continue to add new attendees to the facebook Night of a Million Tents event, but still are a long way from a million. Who knew it would take so much time. But it's been a great learning lesson for me.
Upwards and onward!!!

Want to thank Annie, Jim and Jacob for participating last night. With their ideas and efforts, we will be able to attract a wider audience
Till next time!

Spent the evening posting on various Occupy websites from around the world. Night of Million Campers now up to 120. Not bad for the first full day. If this is going to be noticed by main stream media, it's imperative that we get as many people on board as possible...any suggestion on promoting?
